Battle Studies
Battle Studies is one of the albums that I could not wait to hear in its entirety, mainly because I was so impressed with his previous album, the magnificent Continuum. At first, I did not like Battle Studies that much – I did a mistake comparing it to Continuum.
Before listening to Battle Studies you have to understand that the two albums are two entirely different entities. From the moment that you do understand that you will start to like and end loving the album.
Battle Studies may not be John Mayer’s strongest album, but I would say that it is his most honest to date, and after Continuum my second favorite of his.
My favorite tracks off the album: Edge of Desire, Perfectly Lonely, Half of My Heart, Assassin.
